I will be taking a break from my regular posting on awesomeinternetsite.com until January 2011. I have a couple of unfinished projects
stacking up that I would like to complete before the new year, so I need to focus on those.
The good news is, a few kind and wonderful folks have agreed to pick up the blogging reigns and will continue to post fresh content to help you slack off at work with.
Thanks for keeping up with this little slice of the internet.
Before I head out, I’ll leave you with a bit of a half-assed Photoblogjammin’ post. Just a few randoms, some film, some digital, some from the phone.
Last night after supper I let my fiance’s 3 year old son borrow my camera. He walked around the house taking pictures of everything, from his perspective. I think he took close to 60 pictures. These are some of the highlights.
Geez. Joe Manafo submits a lot of photoblogjammin’ posts. I’m happy about that, though. I hope you are as well. He labeled this set “WTF” which I think means “Waffles This Friday!” — which is a common message people send to one another over the internet in an attempt to build anticipation for a Friday Wafflefest. I may be wrong though, “WTF” might also mean “Waffles Taste Fucking (awesome)”
I spotted this ditty written on a wall . . . WTF?
I have had some pictures sitting on my phone since June.
Imagine you could take pictures with your land line at home? How good would that be? “Here’s another picture of the kitchen, the laundry room, all these knick knacks!” Someone get on that.
Being in the Netherlands During the World Cup was no joke. Orange everywhere.
I was walking with Jaco and saw half of a dead bird, I figured he would be stoked if I snapped a pic of dead nature. He was.
*Joseph Manafo comes through with another stellar Photoblogjammin post. Enjoy.
1. Difficulty: Challenging
As I’ve mentioned in previous photoblogjamming entries, I have a general disdain for poorly executed signs. This piece definitely lands on the side of unnecessary overkill.
2. Free Bacon
Part of me was wishing this wannabe defector had escaped. Nothing like free range pork at an international border crossing.
Feels like I haven’t done a Photoblogjammin post for a good minute. Andy and I sent of some rolls of expired Kodachrome film to get processed in Kansas City. I had forgotten I had taken a camera with me on a canoe trip last Labour Day weekend with Vyn, Bruuks, and Carlo.
Nothing too special, just some snapshots and poor exposures.
If you are interested in this sort of thing, we put in at Long Lake, went through Loucks, Compass, two unnamed beaver ponds, into Cherry, then camped on Triangle Lake. On the way out, we portaged from our site to Cox Lake, through some more beaver ponds, then into Loucks and out through Long Lake. You’ll work a bit, but it is a great route.
Pre-trip breakfast. East City.
Mel picked up some old medium format cameras from a yard sale last year for a few dollars. One of them had a roll of Illford b/w in it, so we had it processed.
I just came across these on a seldom used compact flash card. Although, these are not festive in any manner of speaking, they were taken this past Christmas morning . . . after rolling out of bed.
