If you asked me this morning how many people I would see today with the word “Fuck” printed on their t-shirt . . .

I would not have said 2.

I need to find it.

I am Immature.

I see something like this and it’s like the universe is begging me to take a picture of it.

Yesterday in the Tour of Switzerland. Video carnage here if you are into that sort of thing.

The Devil at Your Heels.

Tuesday, June 15th, 2010

The National Film Board of Canada is a literal treasure trove of great films. Project Grizzly, every Bill Mason Film, and the documentary that Trent P. is in.

I have been quietly waiting for the NFB to upload the following documentary ever since my first viewing of it on a tired VHS copy — a long time ago.

The Devil at Your Heels is well worth the 102 minute viewing. There are some parallels to this film and the odd little spot of viral marketing BMW attempted a while ago: Rampenfest. The major difference? Ken Carter was deadly serious in his effort.

Good Push.

I can’t remember the details, but I have at some point in the past, read about the backstory to this photo. Either way, it stands as one of my all time favorite skate photos . . . easily in the top ten. The rest of the top ten includes images by Spike Jonze, Attiba, Daniel Sturt, Bryce Kanights, etc. etc. No cares about this stuff. Ha.

Pine Nuts.

Interesting post on today regarding Pine Nuts.

I have the exact same experience when eating Pine Nuts. That weird taste lasted in my mouth for days and days afterward.

Friday With Bruuks. China.

Friday, June 11th, 2010

*Friday With Bruuks is a regular weekly feature. Written by David Bruuks and posted on Fridays. This is the latest one. Tell 100 Friends.

I’m off to China for a small vacation, to attend the wedding of one of my best friends in the world. I plan to eat awesome food, take lots of pictures, barter well in some markets, and make the most of this short trip. I may even visit the Great Wall again.
