I saw this on the mighty ffffound this morning, and since I am knee deep in Giro d’Italia coverage I figured it was worth the post.

I’m Lost. Get it?

Tuesday, May 25th, 2010

After watching a smattering of Lost Season 1 episodes, back on their original air dates — I felt it necessary to ask someone in the know what happened with the Series Finale.

Keith Beats had just finished watching it so he gave me the lowdown. It was like I heard Circus Music playing in my head the whole time throughout his description.

I have no idea what is up with that show.

Picture 4

It looks like someone is hunting for a new book deal, this old book is useless.

Landis, who was stripped of his 2006 Tour de France title for doping but had always denied cheating, sent a series of e-mails to cycling officials and sponsors acknowledging and detailing his long-term use of banned drugs, the newspaper said.

. . . Landis detailed extensive use of the blood-boosting drug EPO, testosterone, human growth hormone and blood transfusions, as well as female hormones and a one-time experiment with insulin. He said the doping occurred during the years he rode for the U.S. Postal Service and Swiss-based Phonak teams.

Of Cycling. Mud. Blood. Cadel Evans.

Tuesday, May 18th, 2010

Since you have all been keeping up with this year’s Giro d’Italia, you have probably already seen this.

Cadel Evans recently won a miserable stage of the Giro . . . The resulting pictures sum up everything I tend to love about watching professional road racing.

I mean, look at this:

Sam’s Italian Deli.
I have been making an effort to not swear on Awesome Internet Site, you know, keeping things clean. But, Sam’s Italian Deli on Park? Fuck Yes!

New Albums.
Broken Social Scene. Hold Steady. Gaslight Anthem.

Riding Bikes.
This remains one of The Good Things, and is only getting better with the longer days and the nice weather.

Seeing a Bear While Riding Bikes.
Weird and awesome.

Growing Vegetables
Grow it, eat it. Everyone is happy.

The Toronto Blue Jays
4.0 games back in middle of May? I’ll take that.

Ed Note: This is the most conflicted I have been about posting something on this blog. Bob Gainey, Ken Dryden, The Rocket, Guy Lafluer, Russ Courtnall, Dickie Moore, Larry Robinson and The Hockey Sweater aside — The Habs can go F themselves.

This year’s Stanley Cup Playoffs has been, without a doubt, a massive surprise for anyone who has been cheering for, or against, my beloved Montreal Canadiens. I can only imagine how many hockey pools have been ruined, how many hearts broken, by the consistent shut down, opportunistic hockey that this team has played.

It doesn’t seem to matter what line is on the ice, they all play the same team game. Lots of heart. Oh, and that PK Subban kid is Awesome.
